My Little Family

As I get ready to start my sixth semester at SAGU, my mind is constantly filled with memories of my first semester. I knew people coming into SAGU which made it easier but I didn't realize what I was missing until I got here...
Leaving my family behind was hard but I was embraced by a new family the day I moved in! That family was Ashleigh Callis, Eric Jenkins, Jen Watson, and Chris Wegener. They were all in their twenties while I was just eighteen, the baby. I remember always being surrounded by them and never feeling more loved! They introduced me to their friends, took me to their homes, invited me to their parties, and really just was there for me!
Now they are all gone except for Ashleigh. Luckily she works here and I am still able to see her! I see Jen every once in a while but as for the other two, it's been a while. It hurts to lose this family that was so much mine for such a short amount of time. I miss them ever so much.
There's a quote that says something to the effect of "God puts people in your life at a certain time, for a certain reason, and for a certain length of time." they were in my life to raise me up in this new world I was coming into. They gave me a whole new perspective and really just introduced me to life.
I am thankful and blessed beyond words for my family who is now gone and living their own separate lives.

Love you guys!

XoXo

  1. I know what you mean. I have always been friends with people that are older than myself. After this next semester I have several really great friends graduating and moving on with their lives. It is going to be really tough
